Jenny und Markus wollten eine Hochzeit, die zu 100% zu ihnen passt: mit ganz viel Liebe, offenen Herzen und den liebsten Freunden, die den Tag noch schöner machen. Da beide Yogis sind, fiel die Wahl auf Fabienne von Spiritual Weddings als Hochzeitsrednerin leicht. Alle Gäste, inklusive der anwesenden Hunde, folgten den warmen Worten der freien Rednerin und schlossen zum Beginn der Zeremonie erst einmal einige Minuten ihre Augen, um die Herzen und Emotionen für das Brautpaar zu öffnen. Am Ende blieb kein Auge trocken, es war eine der schönsten Zeremonien, die wir als Fotografen je begleiten durften.

Schon beim Getting Ready spürten wir eine herrliche Entspanntheit. Die beiden machten sich in ihrem eigenen zu Hause fertig für den Tag. Da wir noch etwas Zeit hatten und sich der Hunger meldete, holten wir spontan noch einen Salat vom Veganer um die Ecke und genossen die ruhigen Minuten, bevor der Hochzeitstag so richtig startete.

Mit der U-Bahn ging es ganz unkonventionell zur Trinkhalle in den Stadtpark. Dort angekommen kam die Sonne raus und wir ließen uns von Fabiennes Worten zur Trauung in eine andere Welt entführen. Der restliche Tag ist schnell erzählt: Unendliche Liebe, Lebendigkeit, Lachen und fotografisch: ein Highlight...

This was one of the weddings where we couldn’t hide our tears of joy. We were just full of happiness for those amazing people that invited us to take pictures and keep memories forever of their beautiful wedding in California.

If you asked us what exactly we liked the most, we wouldn’t know where to begin. People from all over the world joined this wedding on the Buckhorn Ranch in Paso Robles. Devon’s family came all the way from Australia. The love that their families and friends shared with Devon and Kurt was recognizable in every second.

When we close our eyes to think back on this beautiful day in October, we still get goosebumps. In retrospect, there’s no way this wedding could have been any more beautiful or fun. Devon and Kurt, thank you for your trust and to your families and friends who welcomed us and allowed us to capture a day that will forever have a special place in our hearts.

We are still freaking out when we think about this urban wedding in Hamburg. Those cuties have one of the warmest souls and hearts we ever met and we are super thankful to share this wedding on our blog with you today.

It all started with a hilarious Google Hangout session. Chris was at home, waiting for Alina. But she had a crash with her bike and a Joye's (now Dominos) Pizzadriver and was running so late, that she jumped into a restaurant nearby and joined the video call from there. It was super loud there and on top something was wrong with the sound settings of the tool so we all had problems to understand each other. But it all had a happy end, probably because it all began with this little desaster.

This couple really chose some amazing locations for their wedding. The ceremony took place in a photo studio in one of the hippest areas of Hamburg and just around the corner they invited their gutests into 'The Box', where you have to stop and look for crazy stuff to buy when you are around.

But it was not the venues what made this wedding perfect for us. It was the people. Those two have amazing families and friends and we felt more that welcome and trusted.

Autumn on Iceland. This is not the place you go to, when you are looking for sun. But sun is nothing that we need to have to feel happy. We packed our stuff, rented a car and did a road trip to the south of Iceland. We passed wide landscapes, famous waterfalls and lakes full of ice. We enjoyed the wind in our beards (haha) and the rain on our skin (full time). And the quality time with our friends.

We adore Rebecca and Flo. Rebecca works as a wedding photographer as well and we love her work.

When she visited us in Hamburg we just used the time and did a little intimate portait session with her and her boyfriend in the heath near Hamburg.

Käthe and Pawel’s wedding was filled with so much love and special ingredients for an awesome and fun wedding day: a mix of multicultural guests from all over the world with positive energy and a full dance floor till the sun rised again - a polish/german party at its best!

They celebrated their day in a beautiful old horse stable on a farm near Oldenburg (where Alina once studied; she was more than happy to come back for one day); definitely one of our favourite countryside venues in Northern Germany and perfect for an unique and intimate wedding.

Käthe and Pawel wanted to be surrounded by their loved ones and started the day already with a bunch of friends. Breakfast for Pawel and the boys while Käthe and all her girls got ready in a barber shop. Hair was cutted spontaneously, nails were painted and you could hear laughter in every corner. The perfect vibes for such a day.

But nothing made their hearts jump more than seeing each other for the first time at an intimate moment before their ceremony. A few minutes for themselves before they were ready to start into a new phase of their life.

We got out of the house with the first morning light. Sandy beaches, volcanic rocks and a warm, summer atmosphere - a scenery a bit different from our rough nordic coast, especially in November. We were happy to shoot beautiful Gaia in a fun bridal inspiration session that day. We explored the village, shot on rooftops, in side streets and at the nearby beach. The upcoming wind played with Gaia's wonderful light summer wedding dress by Light & Lace while the first ray of lights warmed our skin. We can only encourage our future brides to choose a dress that reflects their personality. And if you want to go barefoot, do it! We would be more than happy to follow your footprints.

These two Kiwis got married on beautiful Gut Mönkhof in Lübeck and nearly half of their wedding guests flew over from New Zealand to join Jules and Iain on their special day. A beautiful summer afternoon, relaxed people and a pleasant atmosphere - just like we kept New Zealand in mind from our trips to the other side of the world. And as such the day continues! Candy bar with chocolate from New Zealand, kids running after the chickens at the yard, a campfire as the sun sets. And beautiful Jules barefoot, with a flower crown on her head and in a wonderful bohemian dress. Our hippie hearts bounced wild.

Sandra and Flo had a strong opinion on how they want to get married: Alone, relaxed and in the woods. We love Elopements, so we were more than happy to join their intimate wedding. Since there are no guests to share these moments, we know our job as photographers perhaps is even more important compared to bigger weddings. Our photos are needed to tell the story to friends & the families.

It was a hot summer day and we assume all other people in Hamburg spent their evening in a swimming pool, because we had the wood just for ourselves. It’s interesting how the little things really stand out when you shoot weddings with just the couple and us as photographers. No guests, no venue, no deco. It is about the couple. It is about their love, their connection. Marie from Literally Love did an amazing job to tell the couples story and she was the perfect fit to tie their knot.

Caro and Ronny tied their knot today exactly one year ago. We always keep telling how much we love laid back couples who just do their own thing. This is what they did. A beautiful wedding with the colors of our favorite season (uh, we love weddings in fall) just with their family and clostest friends, a beautiful venue directly at the river 'Elbe' in the small historical village Dömitz and to be honest watching them together and those that support them, really truly was an honor.

Tatjana and Christian live in beautiful Switzerland, but wanted to tie their knot in the town where they met years ago: in Bremerhaven. They celebrated their wedding day with maritime ingredients, lovely people, their super cute dog and a lot of love. One of our highlights: Their civil ceremony took place in the little Kapitänskajüte on the historical sailing ship 'Seute Deern'. On top of Bremerhaven they danced the night away with an incredible view on the coastline. This wedding had all we love in the north: sun, rain, wind and a lot of smiling faces.

We had the honor to take some portrait pictures of the talented photographer Rebecca Konrad in Hamburg. Wild nature, wild hair, lovely lady: you know already that we love these components in front of our cameras.

Winter time is one of our favorite season. We shot Naeema at the coast of Cuxhaven with everything we love: wind, water, heath and curly hair. Thanks to Naeema for the fun and being our winter bride.

Words can hardly describe our love for Miriam and Eduardo from Spain.  The sunlight, the ocean, these two lovebirds: the setting and scene was perfect for this love shooting on the little island La Graciosa | Canary Islands. Special thanks to The Wolves who organized this magical shooting.

Hej, we are Chris and Alina.

After several years of friendship and two different lifes as photographers we unite our passion for photography and continue our way together as a team now. We love nature, we adore being outside, smelling the woods, having frozen fingers during a shooting and getting warm again with a cup of a hot coffee (Alina) & tea (Chris). We embrace the rain & the fog, and tousled hair in the wind is what makes us happy. We think adventure should never stop and that's why we are looking forward to new trails as a wedding photographer team.

In early January we drove to the coast for a private shooting with Mareike. It was freezing cold, but we couldn't have been happier with the conditions: a wide & empty landscape with sparse trees; a strong breeze from the sea; and beautiful Mareike, feeling the wind in her hair and the heath beneath her feet. A tough, blonde girl from the North that instantly blew us away.

The personal little details that make the special day unique are why we continuously fall in love with each new wedding. Jill and Jens celebrated an intimate DIY wedding on a farm near Hamburg. A close group of friends and a bunch of dogs made them smile the whole day. And can you believe, that the decoration, the wedding cake and the flower bouquet was all done by the bride herself? It was a blast! Thanks to Jill and Jens for the fun day.

Jessi & Chris tied the knot. They celebrated their big wedding party in Luxembourg, but wanted to take their wedding pictures near their home town in heath of Northern Germany. Autumn colours, handpicked flowers and a beautiful landscape set the scene for this intimate shooting on the countryside.
